Rhinoboard gypsum ceilings remain the standard for residential work, fixed to brandering, taped, filled and finished flush with a skimmed surface ready for paint. PVC ceilings are moisture-resistant, quick to install and popular in bathrooms, kitchens, outbuildings and rental properties where durability and easy cleaning matter. Suspended grid ceilings with mineral fibre or gypsum tiles are the practical choice for offices, shops and commercial spaces because services above remain accessible. Timber and shiplap ceilings are used where a warmer, more textured finish is wanted. Insulation and energy performance
The ceiling is the most cost-effective place to insulate any Gauteng home. Joints are properly mitred and filled, and the finished surface is sanded and prepared for painting. We can carry out the painting as part of the same project, which is almost always more economical than bringing a painter back separately.

Ceiling work is priced per square metre with cornices priced per linear metre, and removal of an existing damaged ceiling priced separately. Height, access, the presence of asbestos in older ceilings, the amount of bulkhead detailing and whether insulation is included all affect the figure. A single room can usually be completed in one to two days; a full house ceiling replacement takes about a week including finishing.
