Question 1

How long does waterproofing last?

Accepted Answer

A correctly installed torch-on system typically lasts ten to fifteen years, and liquid acrylic systems roughly seven to ten years before a refresh coat. Lifespan depends heavily on drainage, UV exposure and foot traffic.

Question 2

Can you waterproof over existing waterproofing?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes. If the existing membrane is sound, well adhered and compatible, an overlay is possible and more economical. If it is blistered, delaminated or holding water underneath, it has to come off.

Question 3

Do you fix rising damp in walls?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We install chemical injection damp-proof courses and re-plaster with salt-resistant render. We first confirm the damp is genuinely rising damp and not a plumbing leak or lateral penetration.

Question 4

Is waterproofing covered by a guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We provide a written workmanship guarantee, and manufacturer system warranties where the full specified system is installed.

Question 5

How soon can you start?

Accepted Answer

Inspections are usually within 24 to 48 hours and most residential waterproofing projects can be scheduled within a week, weather permitting.
