Question 1

How long does roof painting take?

Accepted Answer

A typical single-storey Pretoria home takes two to four working days including cleaning, repairs and drying time between coats. Larger homes, double storeys and complexes take longer. Weather is the main variable — we do not apply coatings onto damp surfaces or when rain is imminent.

Question 2

How long will a painted roof last?

Accepted Answer

With correct preparation and a quality acrylic system you should expect eight to twelve years before repainting is needed, depending on sun exposure, roof pitch and the coating specified.

Question 3

Do you paint IBR and corrugated steel roofs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Steel roofs require rust treatment, a suitable metal primer and a coating designed for sheeting. We assess the extent of corrosion during the inspection and advise whether painting is viable or whether sections need replacing.

Question 4

Is the high-pressure cleaning included in the price?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cleaning, fungicidal treatment and minor crack sealing are included in every roof painting quotation. Tile replacement and ridge re-bedding are itemised separately so you can see the cost clearly.

Question 5

Can you paint my roof a different colour?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Charcoal, slate grey, terracotta, black and heritage green are the most requested finishes. Note that changing from a very dark colour to a light one may require an extra coat.

Question 6

Do you work in Centurion and Midrand as well?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We service Pretoria and surrounds, Centurion, Midrand, Johannesburg, Sandton, Akasia, Soshanguve, Mabopane, Ga-Rankuwa, Rosslyn, Wonderboom and parts of Mpumalanga.
